The LIFE ADAPT-ALEPPO project launched a traveling exhibition a couple of months ago, showcasing the most relevant themes of the project. So far, it has visited several locations, including Pontevedra, Canfranc (Huesca), and various exhibitions in Valencia.
This exhibition consists of seven roller-format panels, making it easily transportable. The comprehensive display focuses on the following topics:
- The impact of climate change on Aleppo pine stands
- Pinus halepensis forests in the face of climate change
- Action C1/D1: Generation of current and future habitat suitability maps, and monitoring of decline processes in Aleppo pine habitats
- Action C2: Demonstrative implementation of assisted migration in forest restoration activities for Aleppo pine habitats
- Eco-hydrological-based silvicultural models for the management of Aleppo pine forests
- Action C4: Demonstrative implementation of forest management techniques for the structural and floristic diversification of Aleppo pine forests
- Action C5: Demonstrative implementation of adaptive management techniques for post-fire regeneration of Aleppo pine forests
The exhibition aims to raise awareness about the challenges forests face in adapting to climate change and is designed to engage a broad audience. Additionally, it serves as an educational resource accessible to professionals and future professionals in the sector.
The exhibition will continue its tour through different Autonomous Communities, including Catalonia, Castilla-La Mancha, and the Region of Murcia. Information about each of the scheduled exhibitions will be shared on the project’s social media channels.
