Technical experts Miguel Chamón (Directorate-General for Natural Heritage and Climate Action, Region of Murcia) and Lourdes Vicente (Ingeniería del Entorno Natural) took part in the LIFE Platform meeting on “LIFE and the Restoration of Europe’s Forests”, held on 3–5 June in Brașov, Romania.

Organised by the European Union along with ELMEN-EEIG and LIFE CARPATHIA, the event brought together 33 LIFE projects from 14 countries and two Horizon Europe projects, with more than 100 participants.

Thematic sessions addressed problems, solutions and interests across many LIFE projects, enabling knowledge sharing and collaboration.

On 4 June, the LIFE ADAPT-ALEPPO project was presented in Working Group II: European forests and climate change. The group’s conclusions were later shared in the final plenary session with EU policymakers.

Throughout the meeting, a poster presenting the project’s actions and results was displayed.
