Gijón, 16–20 June 2025 – The European project LIFE ADAPT-ALEPPO participated with several papers and posters at the 9CFE, held in Gijón from 16 to 20 June 2025 (https://9cfe.congresoforestal.es/). Representatives from all project partners attended to present the results of adaptive management demonstration actions, achieving significant knowledge transfer among forestry specialists.https://9cfe.congresoforestal.es/

The papers presented and disseminated at the 9CFE included:

  • Demonstrative actions for climate-change adaptation in Pinus halepensis stands: the LIFE ADAPT-ALEPPO project
  • Quantitative methodology for selecting Pinus halepensis provenances in reforestation under climate change
  • Growth and survival of Pinus halepensis seedlings from different provenances in an assisted-migration context
  • Effects on Aleppo pine growth across the Mediterranean climate gradient when applying post-fire treatments
  • Four posters summarising each of the above papers were also displayed during the congress.
